I was born in Detroit, MI and lived in that area until 2001 when I moved to Atlanta.

My first birth was a cesarean. When I got pregnant with my second child, in pursuit of a care provider who would support a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean), I found ICAN of Atlanta. It was through ICAN that I found a supportive provider and had a successful VBAC. I went on to have two more children and two more VBACs.

I attended the birth of a friend in late 2008 and loved it. I had just found out I was pregnant with my 3rd child the day before, so I put any dreams of being a doula on hold for a while, but six months after his birth I took a doula training and was certified in a few short months. Since then I have supported over 100 families in welcoming their newborns into the world.

I look forward to discussing how I can help you have an amazing, empowering birth!
